About Me

I’m Jasper! I’m interested in how people use art to tell their stories and understand themselves. I’m a senior at Agnes Scott College majoring in Studio Art and minoring in English and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I use these disciplines as a way to explore my passion for people’s personal expression. The intersection of the three is the most interesting thing for me to explore. All of my work centers the many ways gender, race, and class shape people’s experiences of their environments. I have 3 years of experience as a peer tutor, which involves teaching and learning from others and maintaining close professional relationships with classmates, staff, and faculty. Interpersonal connections are key for me, so I stay connected to my communities on campus, in the wider Atlanta area, and at home in Little Rock, Arkansas.

This portfolio shows a slice of who I am academically and beyond. Click the buttons below to learn more about my research, studio, and professional practices and see examples of my work.
